The Mobile Media Consortium is an academic/industry partnership devoted to promoting growth of mobile media. Through research and prototype development, the faculty and students of the Mobile Media Consortium are dedicated to finding what works in the wireless space. Other members of the Consortium include Hewlett-Packard, Air2Web, ExecuTrain and XcelleNet.

On April 24, the Mobile Media Consortium hosted "Go Mobile or Go Home"– a daylong event designed to explore the power and potential of mobile media and wireless technology. The event featured panel discussions on the state of wireless, mobile media content and what’s next in wireless innovation. The day concluded as NMI students showed off this semester’s mobile media projects.
