5/12/2004 - IP Infusion, a leading provider of intelligent network software for enhanced IP services platforms, will showcase its commitment to deliver next-generation routing and switching solutions by testing its entire suite ZebOS® MPLS software at InteropNet Labs (iLabs), a live test bed at Networld+Interop 2004 in Las Vegas, Nevada. IP Infusion is a member of the Advanced Internetworking Initiative and will verify the interoperability of its Fast Reroute, DiffServ/DiffServ Traffic Engineering, Layer 2 VPN, Layer 3 VPN, and signaling solutions with a number of leading equipment vendors’ products.
The iLabs is a cutting-edge, vendor-neutral lab environment that tests, improves and showcases early implementations of open-standard networking technologies. The iLabs also serves as a center for providing practical education and information to the Networld+Interop community on standards-based networking technologies. This year, iLabs will focus on Voice over IP using Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), LAN Access Security - Wireless and Wired, and Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS).
The Advanced Internetworking Initiative will deploy a live operational MPLS network. In addition to basic IPv4 unicast traffic, some of the latest developments in IPv6 and IPv6/IPv4/MPLS integration will be explored. It will look at some of the new standards for IP multicast and use the backbone as a transport between remote sites with and without various MPLS VPN technologies. Furthermore the network will highlight various ways of ensuring preferred treatment for mission-critical traffic, and maintaining SLAs using Quality of Service (QoS) mechanisms at the edge of the network and mapping these into QoS mechanisms in the core, together with edge and core fail-over mechanisms.
Customers and media can also visit IP Infusion in Fujitsu Microelectronics booth #1853 and see the ZebOS Layer 2 software running on the 12-port, 10G Ethernet layer-2 switch on a single chip with a CX-4 interface.
About IP Infusion's ZebOS Routing Suites
IP Infusion develops and markets its ZebOS family of advanced IP routing suites, which are based on a unique, modular, multi-process architecture featuring control-plane components that provide route redistribution and conversion, management services, and an OS/processor abstraction layer for routing and switching modules. This robust, high-performance software offers IPv4/IPv6 versions of OSPF, BGP, RIP, and IS-IS routing protocols; PIM-SM for IPv4/IPv6 and DVMRP multicast protocols; MPLS, BGP-VPN, VPLS, RSVP-TE, DiffServ, CR-LDP, and Layer 2 VPN switching and signaling protocols; Spanning Tree, Rapid Spanning Tree, Multiple Spanning Tree, Bridging, VLAN, GMRP, GVRP, Link Aggregation, and Port Authentication Layer 2 protocols; virtual routing, and TCP/IP dual stack support.
