STEMMER IMAGING Distributes Atmel Industrial Cameras in Central Europe

5/7/2004 - Atmel® Corporation (Nasdaq: ATML) announced that Atmel Grenoble SAS and STEMMER® have agreed to a long-term cooperation for the sale of industrial cameras in central Europe.

Atmel has been a world leader in the design and manufacture of professional cameras for the past several years. Atmel's portfolio comprises a variety of high-speed and high-resolution products, including the AViiVA® monochrome and color linescan range, featuring 512 to 8192 pixel sensors and data rates up to 160 MHz, and the AkylaTM HD family of tri-CDD color cameras.

These professional cameras are dedicated to industrial applications such as flat-panel display inspection, OCR and bar code reading, wood or currency inspection, and CD or DVD quality control.

Also included in Atmel's portfolio is the Camelia® family that integrates full-frame sensors of 4 and 8 mega pixels in both black and white and color versions. These cameras target applications such as ophthalmology and display inspection in the machine vision field, metrology and document scanning.
