5/4/2004 - The Titan Corporation (NYSE:TTN) announced that it has been awarded a 15-year indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) contract to provide a wide range of engineering, technical, and program support services to the U.S. Navy’s Naval Sea (NAVSEA) Systems Command. Known as SEAPORT Enhanced, this multiple award has a five-year base period of performance, as well as two additional five-year option periods. Awards were made by geographic region with Titan receiving prime awards for all seven regions, covering all NAVSEA Warfare Centers, Directorates, and related Program Executive Offices (PEOs) throughout the entire United States. Each winning contractor will be provided an opportunity to compete for individual task orders solicited within its zone or zones of performance. The SEAPORT Enhanced award includes an expansion of work that Titan is currently doing through other contracts. The company estimates this new award to be worth in excess of $450 million, if all options are exercised, over the 15-year performance period.

Titan will compete for task orders to provide services that span all phases of naval weapon system development and fielding, including research & development; engineering; modeling; prototyping; documentation; software engineering; reliability, maintainability and availability; human factors; system safety; configuration management; quality assurance; information technology; test and evaluation; acquisition logistics; supply and provisioning; training; in-service engineering; and program support.
