5/3/2004 - Concurrent Computer Corporation (NASDAQ: CCUR), a worldwide leader of on-demand technology that is shaping the future of television, announced the successful launch of Video-On-Demand (VOD) in two major Cox Communications, Inc. (NYSE: COX) markets. Concurrent’s 4th Generation (4G) MediaHawk® On-Demand Platform is powering the delivery of Cox Entertainment on Demand service to Cox New Orleans and Omaha customers. This represents the most recent launch of Cox Entertainment on Demand service for Cox Motorola-based cable systems.
Cox New Orleans and Concurrent will also have a live demonstration of Cox Entertainment on Demand at The National Show, the 53rd conference and exposition of the National Cable & telecommunications Association (NCTA), in New Orleans May 2-5 in the Broadband Home and in the Concurrent booth, #2733.
