IONA Publishes May Educational Webcast Schedule

4/29/2004 - IONA® Technologies (NASDAQ: IONA), a world leader in high performance integration solutions for mission-critical IT environments, published its May 2004 schedule of educational Webcasts. IONA formulated its Webcast curriculum to address real-world integration issues facing today's companies and to provide participants with Web services and SOA best practices and strategies that can be used now to meet their needs.

IONA presents four Webcasts in May. Two Webcasts, both presented by Peter Cousins, IONA's ArtixTM technical director, address specific considerations facing developers of enterprise Web services. Additionally, Ashwin Karpe, IONA's senior product manager, telecommunications solutions, will give two Webcasts on the unique integration challenges facing the telecommunications industry and the role Web services and SOA will play in this rapidly evolving market.

"Companies no longer have the luxury of taking a wait and see approach to Web services and SOA. The industry has moved from anticipation to reality and IONA is committed to ensuring that our customers and prospects have the right technology and information to remain ahead of the curve," said Mr. Cousins. "Our Webcasts provide an ideal forum to learn how to make SOA and Web services an integral part of strategic IT initiatives."
