U.S. Navy Awards Titan with $104 Million Sensor Systems Contract

4/28/2004 - The Titan Corporation (NYSE:TTN) announced that it has been awarded an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) multiple award Technical and Scientific Support of Sensor Systems Contract -- having a potential value of up to $104 million over five years (one base year, plus four option years) -- to provide Naval Air Systems Command's Avionics Department with research, development, integration, analysis, assessment and test and evaluation in support of sensor systems.

"This opportunity allows Titan to continue providing critical war-time support in the areas of sensors and avionics surveillance systems design and development for the U.S. Navy's fixed and rotary-wing aircraft as well as unmanned aerial vehicles," said Gene Ray, Titan's chairman, president and CEO. "We are pleased to support Naval Aviation during current world conditions and into the future with new and transformational developments."

Titan will provide contract program management, technical development planning, risk management, systems engineering, research and technical analysis, functional and design requirements, aircraft integration analysis, test and evaluation requirements analysis, test plans and procedures, development facilities support, specifications, prototype development and testing, system training and in-service support and software development.
