4/14/2004 - BiTMICRO® Networks, a pioneer in intelligent ATA / IDE, SCSI, USB, VME, Compact PCI, Firewire and Fibre Channel flash disks announced at the Defense & Security Symposium being held at Orlando, Florida, USA, April 12-16, 2004 that Speel Praha, Ltd., a provider of avionics and aircraft diagnostics, has standardized on BiTMICRO's E-Disk® for their Aircraft Monitoring System designed for Czech Republic's L-159B Advance Light Combat Aircraft.
Speel designed the Aircraft Monitoring System (AMOS) that performs remote data acquisition, fuel data control and management of inflight refueling and audio/video recording on board the L-159B. Since all of this information is stored in the system, AMOS becomes an invaluable tool when flight and maintenance crew manage information for safer aircraft--getting the job done easier than ever before.
"Information collected from AMOS is valuable as it records flight information on the L-159 aircraft. It is a crucial component of the L-159 safety system and further reinforces Speel's prominence in the field of avionics automation," states Dr. Larbi Ouchelouche, Ph.D., Project Manager of Speel Praha, Ltd. "Thanks to the E-Disk® technology, we now have readily available data for immediate mission de-briefing and comprehensive flight data evaluation on the ground and a much more flexible and powerful system," adds Ouchelouche.
"We attribute Speel's confidence in BiTMICRO Networks to our consistently stellar performance in the aerospace and military industry," comments Jake Pasion, Director of Sales of BiTMICRO Networks. "We take pride in our capability and commitment to rapidly respond to the customers' requirements and of course world-class quality of our products," adds Pasion.
BiTMICRO has added great value to military, aerospace and aviation applications such as data recorders, air transports such as missiles, fighter planes and helicopters; water transports such as battleships, aircraft carriers, amphibious vehicles and submarines. In addition to better performance, small form factor, high density, reliability and ruggedness, BiTMICRO's E-Disk® products offer additional security and data protection features required by these applications that are not offered by any other solid-state flash drive vendor in the market today.
