Cypress Presents Paper on High-Speed Signaling at JEDEX Conference

4/12/2004 - Cypress Semiconductor Corp (NYSE: CY) announced that Trung Tran, applications department manager for Cypress’s Timing Technology Division will present a paper on high-speed signaling at the JEDEX conference on April 16, 2:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the San Jose Marriott Hotel in the Guadalupe Room.

With the emergence of USB 2.0, Serial ATA, and PCI Express, the world of high-speed serial data transmission has become more challenging for PC motherboard designers. Mr. Tran’s presentation will discuss the technical issues pertaining to the design and testing of these high-speed serial links and how to avoid pitfalls.

A recognized timing technology expert, Mr. Tran serves as a JEDEC Task group chair for the FBDIMM and is an alternate on the JEDEC Board of Directors. In addition to graduating top in his class in electrical engineering at the United States Air Force Academy, Tran also received multiple commendations for technical innovation. During his tenure in the USAF, Tran served as the project lead on the National Security Agency’s first family of reprogrammable crypto chips.
