4/6/2004 - NTT-ME has advanced its long-term relationship with NMS Communications (NASDAQ: NMSS), trusted supplier of communications products and services, by sealing an important agreement to broaden its distribution of NMS products. Through this relationshipAs NMS' first channel partner in Japan, in addition to continuing to provide all of NMS' Open AccessTM products to its Japanese customers such Hitachi, Ltd. (TSE:6501/NYSE:HIT), Fujitsu, and NEC, NTT-ME will collaborate with NMS to increase and broaden demand for Open Access products across all telecom market segments in Japan, in addition to continuing to provide all of NMS' Open Access products to its Japanese customers such as Hitachi, Ltd. (TSE: 6501; NYSE: HIT), Fujitsu, and NEC.
NTT-ME has a 10+-year history of selling both NMS system building blocks and highly innovative solutions based on those products. The resulting system allows betting tickets to be purchased automatically over the phone, significantly reducing the operational and system maintenance costs associated with betting. This new agreement will make it even easier for Japanese solution developers, OEMs and telecom operators to take full advantage of NTT-ME's deep and broad telecom experience and NMS' leading technology.
"Our confidence in not only NMS' technology but also its people grows stronger with each passing year," said Shuji Arima, Senior Vice President, Senior Executive Manager of Global Solution Headquarters, NTT-ME.
