4/6/2004 - In response to customers’ continuing need for low-cost high performance data acquisition solutions, Data Translation, Inc. announced a price reduction – up to 27% - for its popular DT300 Series PCI data acquisition boards. Since 1973, the company has maintained complete control over the entire product life cycle at its headquarters, which allows customers to benefit from any cost savings. The announcement carries on the company’s mission to eliminate operational inefficiencies and provide the highest quality product.
Known for delivery of high-quality, low-cost PCI data acquisition boards, the DT300 Series includes six different configurations that capture and transfer data using the high-speed PCI bus. Each board contains 16SE/8DI analog inputs, 23 digital I/O lines, and four counter/timers. Options also include 12- and 16-bit analog inputs and analog outputs. And because each board shares a common architecture, designers and users have the flexibility to pick and choose which board meets their resolution and throughput needs.
The new pricing for the DT300 Series is:
Included in the pricing is value-added software such as WDM drivers, ready-to-run applications and DT Measure FoundryTM evaluation software, Data Translation’s easy to use test and measurement application builder. Each board also contains:
"Customers have come to rely on Data Translation for our engineering expertise and product quality,” said Fred Molinari, CEO, President and Founder of Data Translation. “Because each stage in the manufacturing process – from design to delivery – is handled in-house, we can provide our customers with the highest quality solution at a cost-effective price.”
Availability and System Requirements
The DT300 PCI Data Acquisition boards are available for immediate order. System requirements are: Personal Computer with PCI slot; Microsoft Windows® 2000/XP; 24 MB RAM; and CD-ROM drive.
Each board ships with the following software: 30-day evaluation version of DT Measure Foundry software to easily and quickly create complete test and measurement applications; 32-bit WDM device drivers; Data Acquisition SDK that includes necessary header files, libraries, example programs, and documentation to develop DT-Open Layers data acquisition and control applications; Quick DataAcq, a menu-driven, ready-to-run application to verify the operation of Data Translation board, collect A/D data, display data to the screen, and save data to disk; and SCOPE, which when used with Data Translation hardware, emulates three basic instruments: a chart recorder, a data logger, and a multi-channel oscilloscope.
