3/25/2004 - NMS Communications (NASDAQ: NMSS) announced the signing of an OEM agreement with Nuance (NASDAQ: NUAN), the voice automation expert, as the primary provider of speech software licenses in conjunction with NMS' enhanced services offerings. These offerings include Open AccessTM standards-based, IP-enabled system building blocks for next-generation voice, video and data services and HearSayTM, the open, complete multi-application enhanced services delivery system that enables operators to offer new enhanced services quickly and cost effectively.
Nuance's speech recognition software — which powers tens of billions of calls per year for over 1000 companies worldwide, including 80% of the worlds top telecommunications carriers and 20% of the Global 500 — sets the standard for voice quality and is optimized for accurate, scalable, and easy-to-deploy voice automation solutions.
