Titan Wins $172 Million ID/IQ Support Contract

3/23/2004 - The Titan Corporation (NYSE:TTN) announced that the Defense Contract Command Washington has awarded the company an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) Joint Analytical Support contract having a potential ceiling value of up to $172 million over five years (one base year and four option years). Under this multiple-awarded, task-based contract, Titan will compete against one other company to provide analytical support services to the Joint Staff Force Structure, Resources, and Assessment Office (J8) and U.S. Combatant Commands.

"We are pleased to have been chosen as a prime contractor for this effort," said Gene Ray, Titan's president, chairman, and CEO. "This new business opportunity allows us to establish a relationship with the Joint Staff while supporting the mission capability needs of the Combatant Commands around the world."

As part of this multiple-awarded ID/IQ contract, the company will provide analysis support for military operations and campaigns; information technology support; knowledge engineering; support to policy, planning, and process improvement; requirements analysis support; and military exercises, simulation and experimentation. All of these functions are critical to the Department of Defense and the Combatant Commanders.

In pursuit of this opportunity, Titan brought together a team of large and small companies, each with a strong reputation for achieving customer satisfaction and providing complementary strengths to ensure continuity, flexibility, innovation and performance of our team. The Titan team includes L3 Communications Government Systems Inc., Oberon Associates, Decisive Analytics Corporation, Telart Technologies, MetroStar Systems, Synergy Inc., and The Brain Technologies Corporation.
