Fiorano Rolls Out Advanced Features with ESB 3.5 Release
3/22/2004 - Fiorano Software Inc. a leading provider of Enterprise Integration Middleware, announced the release of Fiorano ESB 3.5, the world's only peer-to-peer Enterprise Service Bus product.
The new version further strengthens Fiorano's position in the ESB market by providing advanced features relating to web services orchestration, enhanced XML support, localization, enhanced database connectors, an integrated development environment for new components and portal integration capabilities.

ESB Platform Enhancements
- BPEL Compliant Web Services Orchestration - Fiorano ESB 3.5 now supports distributed/parallel execution of web-service orchestration processes defined in the industry standard BPEL format.
- Enhanced XML Support - Complex XSD schemas (both W3C compliant and Microsoft schemas) are now supported; in addition, the XSLT editor now supports XBRL schemas and translation across multiple namespaces.
- Localization - The Fiorano ESB core now provides localized error messages and log statements with multiple language targets including Japanese and Chinese.
ESB Adapters and Tools Enhancements
- Enhanced DB Adapters - Now supports a complex nested query execution engine with native translation support for enhanced performance. The DB adapter further provides multi-table monitoring for data-replication & aggregation across geographically distributed heterogeneous databases. It also includes support for complex UDTs and stored procedures, besides supporting enhanced fault handling semantics.
- Fiorano Service Development Studio - Provides an integrated environment for developing ESB Services with minimal programming. The studio also provides integrated support for deployment and version control of services over the Fiorano ESB network.
- Portal Integration - A new HTTP[s] Receive service provides integration with popular web-servers (IIS as well as J2EE based) for synchronous and asynchronous invocation of ESB processes from portals. This enables Fiorano ESB processes to span multiple business units and participate in B2B exchanges.
