Cadence Recognizes as One of Most Admired Companies for Second Year

3/17/2004 - Cadence Design Systems, Inc. (NYSE: CDN) announced that it has been named by Fortune magazine as one of "America's Most Admired Companies" for the second straight year.

Cadence is one of 10 companies and the only electronic design automation (EDA) company honored in the computer software industry category that includes the "who's who" of business and technology innovators. Cadence scored well in all categories with particularly high marks for product quality, innovation and employee talent. Inclusion in the prestigious list is decided by 10,000 executives, directors, and securities analysts who rated 538 companies in their own industries using eight criteria: social responsibility, innovation, long-term investment value, use of corporate assets, employee talent, financial soundness, quality of products/services and quality of management.
