PMC-Sierra Showcases 1.5 and 3G Gigabit-Serial Interconnect

3/10/2004 - PMC-Sierra (Nasdaq:PMCS - News) will demonstrate its PM8380 QuadSMX(TM) four channel 1.5 and 3G Gigabit-serial interconnect supporting Serial ATA (SATA), Serial ATA II (SATA II), and Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) industry standards for storage system and hard disk drive interfaces. The PM8380 QuadSMX, part of PMC Sierra's family of storage solutions, is fully compliant with the SATA / SATA II specification and compatible with SATA I / SATA II host bus controllers and hard drives.
