3/9/2004 - Performance Technologies (Nasdaq NM: PTIX), a leader in unified systems design for the communications, industrial and military markets, introduced the newest addition to its IPnexusTM product family, the IntelTM PentiumTM M-based CPC5505 Single Board Computer.
The CPC5505 is an integral part of Performance Technologies' ever-expanding, packet-based IPnexus Advanced Managed Platform line. It is a single slot system master CPU board operating at 1.6 GHz, fully compliant with the PICMGTM 2.16 packet-switched backplane and 2.9 Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI) standards.

The CPC5505 takes advantage of the latest advances in the embedded processor and support chipset roadmap, targeted towards applications requiring the highest available performance in a single slot. Its mezzanine connector provides future extensibility for in-network application enhancement by integrating dual GigE routing and 64-bit PCI to the PMC site. PMC modules supporting applications such as security, storage, video streaming and firewall can be loaded into the site, enhancing system functionality and performance.
