Fujitsu Enhances LifeBook S2000 Notebook with AMD Athlon XP-M 2100+

3/4/2004 - Fujitsu Computer Systems enhanced the performance of the LifeBook® S2000 notebook and maintained the price point to make it even more attractive to budget-conscious mobile professionals and students.

Starting at $1,1991, the LifeBook S2000 notebook is one of the most affordable thin-and-light notebooks on the market. This is due in part to its use of the low-voltage mobile AMD Athlon XP-M 2100+ processor with AMD PowerNow! Technology.

"AMD's new mobile Athlon technology gives us the ability to offer excellent performance and value in the thin-and-light form factor," said Paul Moore, director of product marketing for Fujitsu Computer Systems. "The Fujitsu LifeBook S2000 notebook is ideal for professionals and students wanting mobility and performance in a notebook without breaking the bank."

One of the company's most popular lines, the LifeBook S Series has garnered tremendous praise for its innovative and elegant design. The notebook weighs 3.85 pounds and includes a brilliant 13.3-inch XGA TFT display, a comfortable keyboard and a modular bay, which can accommodate an optical drive, modular bay battery or weight saver.
