3/2/2004 - Metrowerks and Encirq Corporation have collaborated to create an integrated development solution that combines a world-class development environment for 16-bit applications with one of the world’s smallest embedded databases.
The Metrowerks CodeWarriorTM Development Studio for HC(S)12, Data Expert Edition combines the Encirq 3e Data Management Suite for HC(S)12 devices, together with the award-winning CodeWarrior Integrated Development Environment (IDE). The solution is designed to help developers working in Motorola HC(S)12 microcontroller environments easily generate compact, full-featured and reliable applications.
The Encirq 3e Data Management Suite allows developers to create custom, application-specific data management components as inline C-language source code, which helps automate embedded development for applications managing real-time data and devices. Examples of these devices include automotive instrumentation controls, vending machines, energy meters, security systems, industrial controllers, phone systems and home appliances.
“The CodeWarrior Development Studio, Data Expert Edition is the most complete development tool for bringing applications from concept to functional prototype within Motorola 16-bit microcontroller environments,” said Mark Vogel, founder and chief executive officer, Encirq. “The product helps developers speed and simplify the creation of high-quality HC(S)12 embedded applications.”
CodeWarrior Development Studio for HC(S)12, Data Expert Edition uses a simple high-level standard language to generate C code directly into the CodeWarrior project environment. The code can then be merged with other application code and automatically optimized to take full advantage of the HC(S)12 features.
