Applied Data Systems Demonstrates New RISC-based Products

2/25/2004 - Applied Data Systems (ADS), a leading developer of RISC-based application-ready systems, will be demonstrating a variety of new RISC-based products highlighting Controller Area Networking devices used for industrial applications in the CAN booth at the National Manufacturing Week show in Chicago, Booth 4908.

ADS recently joined CAN in Automation (CIA), the international users' and manufacturers' organization that develops and supports CAN-based higher-layer protocols. ADS partners with CiA in featuring the low cost, ease of use value in CAN communications for industries such as industrial automation, telematics, and medical monitoring.

With an increase in designs utilizing CAN, ADS migrated its designs to incorporate the CAN protocol. The Graphics Client adopted this feature when it migrated to the Graphics Client Plus and Graphics ClientX. The Graphics Master was designed with the feature, and the VGX controller has two separate CAN devices on board. All of these products will be highlighted at NMW.

Another NMW demo features InduSoft's SCADA/HMI software that is used for interfacing between embedded systems and high level enterprise software. InduSoft's Web Studio creates SCADA/HMI allows users to create applications ranging in size from 150 tags to large scale SCADA/HMI, process control or automation applications with an unlimited tag count. The highly optimized interactive demo will be shown between ADS' BitsyX running a wireless InduSoft demo in Microsoft's booth to a BitsyX in ADS booth 4908. InduSoft Web Studio applications can communicate with mobile and wireless devices, Web browsers, and similar devices. The InduSoft software on ADS systems allows customers to view real-time process data, information systems and plant data from mobile devices.
