2/23/2004 - Data Transit Corporation, the leading supplier of modular bus protocol analyzers, announces the newest member of the Bus DoctorTM Analyzer family, the RXplus. The new analyzer has advanced features, including more memory channels and cross-sequence triggering. It is designed specifically for high speed, multi-lane, multiple protocol serial buses such as PCI Express x16 and Wide Port SAS.
The design of the RXplus results in an analyzer with extremely high performance. The RXplus supports up to 252 memory channels permitting the analyzer and the control PC to keep up with the significantly greater data throughput found in buses like Wide Port SAS. This means all data traffic is captured and saved; the possibility of lost or dropped packets is eliminated.
The RXplus also offers a unique changeable I/O control module permitting it to be controlled by different interfaces. The RXplus is shipped with a USB control module but future plans call for Ethernet support. With the Ethernet module, the RXplus can be controlled through a LAN network.
"With the new RXplus, Data Transit will be able to deliver x16 and Wide Port SAS analysis to our high performance graphics and storage customers," said Dale Smith, Founder, President and CTO of Data Transit. "These developers are interested in powerful tools that will enable them to not only design and build cutting edge products but also get them to market quicker. Our RXplus Analyzer is just such a tool and demonstrates our commitment to lead these high speed serial markets."
The RXplus may be combined with other RXplus Analyzers or with the 108 channel RX Analyzer. Stacking multiple analyzers or multi-analysis is a feature unique only to Data Transit's analyzer products. Up to 8 RXplus's or a combination of RX's and RXplus's can be stacked together, sharing a common reference clock and triggering.
Data Transit showcases the Bus Doctor RXplus Analyzer at its booth (#771) during the Intel Developer Forum from February 17th through the 19th in San Francisco.
Orders are being accepted for the RXplus with a ship date beginning March 29, 2004. Please contact Data Transit or one of its worldwide distribution partners for pricing information.
About Data Transit
Founded in 1990, Data Transit designs, manufactures and sells the Bus DoctorTM line of protocol analyzers and the new PacketMakerTM traffic generators. Data Transit has grown from a niche storage analysis product provider to be a major player in the test and measurement industry. The company's mission is to offer the best analysis tools for complex development environments such as network servers and storage area networks, SANs. Its Bus Doctor modular approach allows users to attach different bus pods to a single analyzer as needed. This unique methodology provides customers with a superior value proposition while giving them the advantage of using a single tool for multiple applications. The Bus Doctor is also differentiated from its competitors by its powerful triggering, large trace buffers and multiple-bus analysis capabilities with a single reference clock and cross triggering. Data Transit supports fifteen buses including Serial ATA, PCI Express, Serial Attached SCSI, Fibre Channel, Gigabit Ethernet, iSCSI, PCI, ATA/ATAPI, SCSI, USB and others.
