2/18/2004 - Magma® Design Automation, Inc. (Nasdaq: LAVA), a provider of chip design solutions, and Nassda Corporation (Nasdaq: NSDA), a leading provider of full-chip circuit verification software, announced that Nassda has joined the MagmaTies Electronic Design Automation (EDA) Partnership Program to further expand their collaboration. Nassda had previously partnered with Silicon Metrics, now Magma's Silicon Correlation Division, for full-chip characterization of standalone and embedded memories using Nassda's HSIM to analyze the effects of nanometer silicon on design timing and power. Through this enhanced relationship, Magma and Nassda seek to offer designers the ability to characterize intellectual property (IP) for the latest process geometries through their combined EDA software. Additionally, Magma and Nassda intend to develop a means for designers to correlate delay and noise effects on circuit performance in the Blast Fusion® physical design solution for system on chips (SoCs).
