Sybase Simplifies IT Management for Taiwan with Manage Anywhere Studio
2/6/2004 - Sybase, Inc. (NYSE:SY) a leading enterprise infrastructure and mobile software company, announced that Taiwan’s provincial government selected Manage Anywhere Studio®, an iAnywhere technology, to simplify management of remote applications and devices. Using a centralized console, Manage Anywhere Studio will enable the government to track PC equipment, distribute new and updated applications and provide support to remote locations throughout the northern part of the country.
There are eleven installations of Manage Anywhere Studio serving 3,400 clients at the Provincial Taiwan Government’s Research, Development and Evaluation Commission (RDEC). The government chose Manage Anywhere Studio because of its ease-of-deployment and tight security. The ability to manage application distribution, track computing devices and provide technical support from a centralized location has significantly reduced IT costs and increased the organization’s productivity.
