2/6/2004 - IDTTM (Integrated Device Technology, Inc.; Nasdaq: IDTI), a leading communications IC company, announced it was recognized as the top vendor of network search engines (NSEs) and content processors in a recent study conducted by Heavy Reading. IDT was the most recognized vendor among respondents, and received top marks for price, product performance, quality and reliability, and service and support. This accolade follows on the heels of the IDT 75K72100 NSE being honored as one of the EDN Hot 100 Products of 2003.
These findings were presented in Heavy Reading’s 2004 Communications Chips Market Perception Survey. Heavy Reading, whose parent company is Light Reading, is a research firm dedicated to performing detailed competitive analysis for telecommunications professionals who need to make informed decisions about existing and emerging technologies.
“Being recognized as the number one vendor of NSEs and content processors by the world’s top systems vendors is further testament to our leadership in delivering cutting-edge products that accelerate packet processing,” said Scott Sarnikowski, vice president and co-general manager of the IDT IP co-processor division. “Our NSEs are currently designed into tier-1 core routers, and access and storage area network equipment, and we will continue to deliver advanced products with value-added features that address the classification and forwarding needs of our customers. Likewise, IDT is committed to creating best-in-class content processing solutions that deliver the performance and intelligence required for intrusion detection/prevention services and content-aware networking applications.”
IDT is the market and technology leader of NSEs — devices that support NPUs and ASICs and accelerate deep packet classification and forwarding in systems for wireless, enterprise and carrier-class networks.
