CellularOne Selects Ceragon Networks’ High-Capacity Wireless System

12/20/2004 - Ceragon Networks Ltd. (NASDAQ and TASE: CRNT), www.ceragon.com, a global provider of high-capacity broadband wireless systems, announced that it has received an order to supply equipment valued at approximately $1.3 million to CellularOne® of Arizona. CellularOne will deploy Ceragon’s FibeAir® products to provide a complete cellular backhaul and wireless broadband access solution aimed at expanding its service to rural customers. CSG Wireless Inc., Ceragon’s VAR, will provide engineering, integration and installation services for the project which is scheduled to begin before the end of this year.

Ceragon’s innovative FibeAir 1500P radio system will serve as a network node providing OC-3 East/West traffic topology as well as enable connectivity over distances up to 26 miles. CellularOne’s network, with FibeAir 1500P, utilizes 6GHz frequency band with space diversity configuration as well as 18GHz frequency band.

CellularOne’s network will also incorporate Ceragon’s recently unveiled license- exempt FibeAir 4858 system, which will provide access Ethernet and T1 lines. By using Ceragon’s FibeAir family of products, CellularOne will benefit from the convergence of TDM and IP traffic in both licensed and license-exempt bands.

“After a comprehensive study of technologies and solutions in the wireless backhaul market, we found Ceragon’s wireless products to offer the most complete, flexible and cost effective solution,” said Richard Watkins, COO, CellularOne. “We look forward to initiating the first phase of this project in the coming weeks, thus enabling us to greatly expand and improve the quality of our service for our customers.”

“We are extremely pleased to have been selected by CellularOne to provide our state of the art FibeAir wireless systems for its cellular backhaul infrastructure as well as for broadband access. CSG’s strong local presence, extensive experience and commitment to service will help to ensure a successful installation of our FibeAir systems,” said Shraga Katz, President and CEO, Ceragon Networks Ltd. “Ceragon’s FibeAir family of products offers cellular operators a complete network solution with flexible configuration at a competitive cost.”
