12/13/2004 - UIQ Technology announced that Tegic Communications, a leading provider of predictive text input software and a wholly owned subsidiary of America Online, Inc., has been named to the UIQ Selected program. Specifically, Tegic’s industry-leading T9® Text Input software has been accepted into the UIQ Selected program, which provides mobile phone manufacturers with technologies tested and pre-integrated for the UIQ platform.
UIQ Selected helps mobile phone manufacturers reduce development costs and integration time by offering validated third-party software technologies. UIQ Selected applications have been tested and pre-integrated for the UIQ platform to provide phone manufacturers with a shorter time-to-market and a more cost-effective integration process when developing media-rich mobile phones.
