TAK'ASIC to Present and Preview New Imaging Solutions at MicroVentures

12/2/2004 - TAK'ASIC has been selected to present at MicroVentures, a VentureWire private equity conference sponsored by Banc of America Securities LLC, on December 7 and 8, 2004 at the Sofitel San Francisco Bay, Redwood City, Calif. TAK'ASIC is an emerging leader in providing the consumer photo printer market with system solutions including imaging technologies, semiconductors and software.

TAK'ASIC was selected through a competitive process managed by VentureWire, which is published by Dow Jones Newswires, from among a very large and strong pool of qualified applicants. The annual MicroVentures conference showcases nearly one hundred of the most promising semiconductor and nanotechnology startups.

Presenting on Wednesday, December 8th, TAK'ASIC CEO Doug Goodyear will discuss the company's plan to address emerging opportunities in fast growing photo-enabled printer and MFP market. According to a recent report published by Lyra Research, a leading market research firm focused on the imaging industry, worldwide revenue from at-home digital photo printing will near $10 billion in 2008.

Presenter Biographical Information
Douglas Goodyear was appointed CEO of TAK'ASIC in April 2003. Goodyear has more than 20 years of industry experience including key management roles in a number of established and emerging technology companies. Most recently, Goodyear was Chief Executive Officer for Tioga Technologies where he was a member of the founding management team. (Tioga went public in June of 2000 and was acquired by ST Microelectronics in early 2003.) Prior to Tioga, Goodyear led worldwide sales for Radisys Corporation (Nasdaq:RSYS), the leading provider of embedded telecom solutions. Goodyear has also held senior management posts with such recognized electronics and semiconductor companies as Actel Corp. (Nasdaq:ACTL), Sharp, Advanced Micro Devices (NYSE:AMD) and Signetics Corp., a division of Philips Semiconductor. He holds a B.S. degree in Computer Science and Industrial Management from the University of Nebraska.
