11/4/2004 - Focusing on next generation Intel 90nm core trend, the global leading embedded computer provider, - Kontron - launches a full-size SBC card, PCG-820+. Supporting the latest Intel Pentium 4 processor with on-die 1MB L2 pipelined burst cache (full CPU core speed). The main application will target the industrial server, industrial automation, medical application, multimedia, broadcast, Telecom and Industrial Testing market.
Adapts Intel 845GV chipset, PCG-820+ supports Pentium 4 CPU with FSB running at 533MHz and using Intel latest HT (Hyper Treading) technology and up to 2GHz DDR333 SDRAM memory capacity.
The integrated graphics function - Intel Extreme Graphics technology - can deliver sharp, vivid and digital images without an external VGA card. PCG-820+ uses high performance PCI Ultra DMA33/66/100 IDE interfaces. IEEE 1394, Ultra 160 SCSI, wireless LAN, Serial ATA is optional for MiniPCI socket. Other functions includes: audio; Built-in dual Ethernet (10/100 Base-T Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet) and USB 2.0. The PCG-820+ also offers 1 Standard MiniPCI socket and CompactFlash Type I/II socket. ISA high drive capacity with enhanced 64mA on data and address bus.
New PCG-820+ SBC will let Kontron connection with Intel latest 90nm CPU product and become a Nova at this market.
