10/28/2004 - Synaptics' Incorporated (NASDAQ: SYNA), a leading developer of interface solutions for mobile computing, communications, and entertainment devices, has introduced it's LightTouch capacitive button solution to the desktop PC market with a custom design for Packard Bell's latest desktop PC design, the ixtreme Gold.
Synaptics LightTouch module offers illuminated buttons that change color to indicate status. The solution was designed with consumer in mind, resulting a unique, eye-catching design. The module supports 6 multimedia functions -- DVD, Music, Photo, Radio, TV, and Video. To launch these features, users can either press the Synaptics LightTouch buttons on the desktop system, or use the ixtreme Gold remote control.
