10/15/2004 - PowerDsineTM a pioneer in Power over Ethernet (PoE) solutions, has appointed Azlan to distribute its Power over Ethernet midspan hubs in the Europe, Middle East and Africa regions (“EMEA”) PowerDsine’s midspans allow the delivery of power over standard Ethernet cabling to Wireless hubs, IP Phones and CCTV cameras without the cost and disruption of upgrading the entire data networking infrastructure.
PowerDsine is a leading vendor of products that enable the deployment of PoE technology. PowerDsine is also a founding member of the IEEE 802.3af task force that is responsible for the recently adopted PoE standard. The company supplies integrated circuits, modules and systems that facilitate the deployment of PoE. Its largest customers in 2003 included 3Com, Avaya and Nortel Networks. PowerDsine’s midspan solutions that will be distributed in the EMEA region by Azlan, are designed to PoE- enable network devices such as IP phones, wireless hubs and IP Security equipment such as CCTV cameras, without upgrading the existing LAN infrastructure.
