Altera's SOPC Global Conferences Present Latest in Programmable Logic

10/8/2004 - Altera Corporation (NASDAQ: ALTR) invites system architects, hardware and software engineers, and board designers to attend its SOPC World 2004 conferences in North America, Asia Pacific, and Europe, as well as PLD World, the premier programmable logic show in Japan.

Altera will discuss industry issues including performance, cost, and time-to-market while detailing alternative solutions to traditional ASIC designs. Attendees will also learn how to maximize performance for digital signal processing and embedded systems as well as how to use FPGAs, such as Cyclone® II and Stratix® II, to solve high-speed design and signal integrity challenges. In addition, multiple exhibits and demonstrations will feature many of Altera’s second-generation products, such as Stratix II FPGAs, MAX® II CPLDs, and Nios® II embedded processors, implemented into the technology from industry-leading hardware and EDA partners. These partners include executive sponsors Aldec, Inc., Mentor Graphics Corporation, Infineon Technologies AG, The MathWorks, Micron Technology, Inc., and Tektronics, Inc.
