NCDEX Doubles Deployments of Birdstep's RDM Embedded-Based Trading

10/7/2004 - Birdstep Technology (OSE: BIRD) announced its continued growth in the financial marketplace with National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited’s (NCDEX) additional orders of the RDM Embedded data management solution. NCDEX has more than doubled its RDM Embedded based usage in its commodity trading application.

RDM Embedded provides NCDEX with a high performance, proven embedded data management solution. Data management in financial trading applications must provide very high transaction rates and exceptional reliability. With RDM Embedded, NCDEX achieves unmatched transaction performance in an exceptionally stable product. The combination of features, performance and size has made RDM Embedded popular for financial service applications.

“Since we launched our application in December 2003, we have been very pleased with the performance and stability of Birdstep’s RDM Embedded. In fact, the product has been so successful that we were able to expand our application’s deployment to additional traders. In part, this is because RDM Embedded has been a solid contributor to the product’s success,” commented an official of NCDEX.

“We are pleased that NCDEX has purchased more licenses of our RDM Embedded product. We have a proven track record in the financial market and will continue to develop robust, secure, highly available data management solutions demanded by our customers. In addition to NCDEX, RDM Embedded is used extensively by the National Stock Exchange of India,” said Steinar Sande, Birdstep Technology Vice President of Sales.
