Compuware Safeguards Applications with Risk-based Testing Seminars

10/4/2004 - Compuware Corporation (NASDAQ: CPWR) announced that it will host a risk-based testing seminar series in 11 U.S. cities, beginning October 7, 2004 in Phoenix. The seminar, entitled “Safeguard Your Applications: A Unique Approach to Testing,” is a half-day, management-level briefing designed to help IT organizations make the most of their current testing assets.

Seminar attendees will learn why it is unrealistic for IT organizations to test an entire application and eliminate every element of risk. Time demands and budget constraints make eliminating all risk impractical, if not impossible. With a risk-based test approach, testing activities are aligned with business requirements and prioritized so that the most business-critical parts of an application are tested.

Through this seminar series, industry expert Dave Kapelanski of Compuware will share Compuware’s unique approach to application testing. Risk-based testing helps IT executives make better-informed decisions and enables them to deploy applications with confidence.

“This unique testing approach complements existing tools and processes, helping IT organizations know what to test, understand how much testing is enough and communicate quality metrics in terms that business managers can understand,” said Kapelanski.

Seminars are currently scheduled for Phoenix (October 7); Columbus, Ohio (October 13); Miami (October 14); Kansas City, Mo. (October 19); Austin, Texas (October 20); Grand Rapids, Mich. (October 26); Philadelphia (October 27); Montreal (October 28); Seattle (November 4); Detroit (November 9) and New York (November 10).
