10/4/2004 - Curtiss-Wright Controls Embedded Computing (CWCEC) has launched a commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS), single-slot, 6U VME Video Buffer card to extend its range of high-performance video distribution and signal conditioning products.
The Video Buffer card receives one or two channels of high resolution RGB computer video and splits it into two identical copies. The card is designed to support video resolutions up to 1600 x 1200 and provides front-panel connectors for two sets of differential RGB video inputs. Video output is also through the front-panel and uses four industry-standard 15-way high-density D connectors.
Designed for video distribution and display applications, the Video Buffer card may be used to split high-resolution computer video signals for simultaneous display and recording. Alternatively, the card may be used to allow a single video source to drive two high-resolution displays.
This is the latest product from CWCEC's operation in Cambridge, England (formerly Primagraphics), which specialises in developing radar, video and graphics display systems for military and civil applications. Its systems, for VME, PCI, CompactPCI and PMC formats, are in use throughout the world for airborne and shipborne command and control consoles, vessel tracking, air traffic control and air defence systems.
Details of the range of cards and systems solutions are given on CWCEC's web site at www.cwembedded.com. For more information please contact CWCEC, New Cambridge House, Litlington, Royston, Herts SG8 0SS, United Kingdom, telephone +44 (0) 1763 852222 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
