Latest Pylon Anywhere Makes Mobile eMail More Convenient and Secure
1/28/2004 - iAnywhere Solutions, Inc., a subsidiary of Sybase, Inc. (NYSE: SY), announced the next generation of Pylon Anywhere, delivering new platform support, security capabilities and enhanced user experience. With this new version, mobile professionals benefit from new push capabilities, faster synchronization, customizable email updates and access from all of the leading PDA and smartphone platforms. Product demonstrations are available at the iAnywhere booth (#717) at this week's Lotusphere conference.
"Email, PIM and calendaring offer initial plays for providers in enterprise mobile deployments in the near term," said Stephen Drake, program manager, Mobile Infrastructure Software at IDC, a leading provider of global IT research and advice. "The proliferation of mobile devices within the enterprise will drive demand for a single email solution that supports a wide variety of mobile devices. In addition, as more employees start accessing sensitive corporate information from mobile devices, companies will become acutely aware of mobile security considerations."
"The latest version of Pylon Anywhere makes mobile email more convenient than ever before, providing fast, easy access to corporate email from nearly any computing device," said Martyn Mallick, senior product manager at iAnywhere. "iAnywhere's broad range of mobility solutions and extensive industry expertise enable companies to get up and running quickly with mobile email and later add capabilities such as line of business applications."
