Magma's RTL-to-GDSII IC Design Flow Sets Standard for Legerity

(Nasdaq: LAVA), a provider of chip design solutions, announced that Legerity, Inc., the leading provider of analog/mixed-signal integrated circuits (ICs) for voice and data networks, has standardized on Magma's RTL-to-GDSII integrated circuit (IC) design flow. Legerity selected the Blast CreateTM synthesis and Blast Fusion® physical design solution after benchmarking the Magma flow against a traditional point-tool flow. Results proved that Magma's integrated flow could deliver timing closure without the multiple iterations required with the traditional flow. Legerity also found that with Blast Create back annotation and static timing analysis are under the RTL designer's control which enabled them to identify and address problems early and to accurately predict final performance prior to physical design, significantly improving the efficiency of their design flow.
