1/23/2004 - Ceragon Networks Ltd. (NASDAQ: CRNT), www.ceragon.com, a global provider of high-capacity broadband wireless systems, announced that it was awarded The Wireless Communications Association’s annual award for its high-speed wireless network installation for local government organizations in Northern Colorado.
For this project, Ceragon cooperated with its business partner Anyware Network Solutions, Inc. Based on Ceragons’ FibeAir® product family, Anyware designed and implemented a 622 and 155 Mbps network over an aggregate distance of 53 miles. This carrier-class wireless ring supports high-speed data and voice applications for public safety and IT services for the Northern Colorado County.
“We are extremely proud to be singled out by WCA for our ability to deliver top of the line solutions to the growing private networks market,” said Shraga Katz, president and CEO, Ceragon Networks Ltd. “This project enhances Ceragon’s extensive experience in the wireless space and is further proof that our FibeAir product family is extremely well suited for education, government, utilities, finance and health care deployments.”
The “Wemmies” are awarded to carriers and vendors using advanced wireless technology to deliver broadband service in innovative ways that demonstrate exemplary service with advanced technology.
“The awards in the ‘underserved’ categories,” commented WCA President Andrew Kreig, “demonstrate that wireless broadband is providing high-capacity advanced solutions for residential, business and government enterprise users who otherwise would be bypassed by broadband deployments that are increasingly necessary in a modern, networked economy.”
The awards were presented yesterday at WCA’s Tenth Annual Technical Symposium & Business Exposition, Fairmont Hotel in San Jose, CA.
