MEMSCAP Rolls Out MemsMaster 2.2 with More Modeling Capabilities

MemsMaster has been developed to provide an easy to handle solution that quickly models complex MEMS systems involving interactions between multiple domains such as electronics, mechanics, and thermals. By ensuring the correspondence between the schematic, the simulation and the layout, MemsMaster is the only tool that eliminates duplicated work and risks of errors.

About MemsMaster v2.2
MemsMaster behavioral modeling approach is based on Modified Nodal Analysis applied to multi-physics domains using IC analog/mixed signal simulator (SMASH from Dolphin Integration, Spectre from Cadence or ADVance MS from Mentor Graphics), which ensures a seamless link between MEMS and system designers. MemsMaster is composed of four modules: 1) M2Architect ,a layout-like schematic tool using scalable and position dependent symbols for MEMS design capture; 2) M2librarian for library management with versioning, information tracking on the models and coherency checking between parameterized symbols and behavioral models headers; 3) MemsModeler processes ANSYS finite element models to extract reduced order models and write them in multiple languages such as Verilog-A, VHDL-AMS or T-Spice; 4) Foundation libraries composed of electrical and mechanical loads and inertial structures.
