Control Engineering Selects Kontron ETX-PM CPU Module for Award

1/20/2004 - Kontron, a leading embedded computer technology company, announced that its ETX-PM CPU module has received a 2003 Editors Choice Award from Control Engineering Magazine. As one of 35 winners, the ETX-PM is eligible to win one of eight Control Engineering Engineers' Choice Awards to be named at a ceremony to be held February 24 during National Manufacturing Week in Chicago.

The ETX-PM is the most compact board to date to host an Intel® Pentium® M processor and the first Computer-on-Module (COM) to be based on it.

Editors selected this year's 35 Editors' Choice Award winners from among all of the new products featured in the 2003 issues of Control Engineering, Control Engineering Online, or one of Control Engineering's topical e-mail newsletters. At the end of the year, the editors review the published products to select the winners according to the following criteria: service to the industry, technological advancement, and market impact. As an award winner, the ETX-PM is among the most significant innovations introduced during the past year, according to the editors.

The January 2004 issue of Control Engineering will spotlight the ETX-PM and other award-winning products. Control Engineering plans to hold a related webcast in March 2004.
