1/19/2004 - AEP Systems announces that the UK Ministry of Defence INFOSEC Product Co-Operation Group (DIPCOG) has approved the AEP SureWare Net ED20M IPSEC encryptor. DIPCOG's approval qualifies the product to be sold to Ministry of Defence (MoD) users. AEP SureWare Net joins a very select group of products to meet the information security accreditation requirements of UK Armed Services, MoD and Defence contract projects.
“DIPCOG approval is an important credential for AEP Systems' SureWare Net ED20M product,” said Stephen Lewis, Product Manager at AEP Systems. “It gives our Defence customers confidence that all aspects of AEP SureWare Net's operations are fully secure and confirms AEP Systems' competence in the high assurance information security sector.”
AEP SureWare Net is a high security, high assurance and high performance product that protects IP traffic across networks. The encryptor provides both data confidentiality and source authentication for network traffic, enabling high-confidence Virtual Private Network (VPN) communications. The product can be deployed as an IP Security Gateway at the network interface, or at the workstation or subnet, to support secure end-to-end or data separation requirements.
In addition to gaining DIPCOG approval, AEP SureWare Net ED20M has completed a formal evaluation by the UK Government CESG Assisted Products Scheme (CAPS) at the ‘Enhanced Grade' standard.
AEP SureWare Net ED20M is widely deployed to protect sensitive data on National and International Criminal Justice Networks and Pan-European Infrastructures. For more information about AEP Systems or AEP SureWare Net, visit www.aepsystems.com.
