1/12/2004 - Insyde Software (GTSM: 6231) announced that it signed a letter of intent to acquire Accelent Systems. Through this acquisition, Insyde Software obtains sophisticated products and engineering capabilities to sell into the emerging ARM-based device markets, that include PDAs, PDA-phones, smart phones, handhelds and many other vertical applications. As a Gold-level Microsoft Windows Embedded Partner and a Windows Mobile MPAC member, Accelent Systems also brings key partnerships to this arrangement.
The purchase of Accelent Systems represents a key step in expanding Insyde Software’s product and service offerings for the mobile and embedded device markets. Through its new Accelent Systems Group, Insyde Software will continue to support all of Accelent System Inc.’s products and customers. Using the combined network of sales, engineering and support partners, Accelent Systems’ customers will now be able to receive local support throughout the world.
