Performance Technologies Rolls Out IPnexus SBC with Pentium M CPU
9/29/2003 - Performance Technologies (Nasdaq NM: PTIX), a leader in unified systems design for the communications, military and commercial markets, introduced the newest member of it’s Intel-based single board computer family, the IPnexusTM CPC5702. Performance Technologies is a leading designer of single board computers, and this newest product offers the highest speed and performance in its entire SBC line.
The IPnexus CPC5702, powered by the 1.6GHz Intel Pentium® M class processor and Intel E7501 chipset, takes full advantage of the latest advances in the Intel embedded roadmap. The result is a standards-based building block designed for a wide range of high-performance compute applications.
“Being based on the Pentium M processor, our CPC5702 is capable of offering the highest performance for application processing for PICMG® 2.16-based solutions,” said Jennifer Slosar, product manager for compute products at Performance Technologies. “The CPC5702 combines our expertise in SBC design with Intel’s industry-leading processor technology. The single slot CPC5702 is an integral part of Performance Technologies’ packet-based IPnexus Advanced Management Platform and embedded product family. It is designed to also be interoperable with third-party PICMG 2.16-compatible boards.
The IPnexus CPC5702 offers the following features:
- 1.6 GHz Pentium M processor with a 400 MHz front side bus
- Scalable to 2GB of DDR SDRAM
- 3.2Gbytes/second total system bandwidth, the highest in its class
- PICMG 2.16-compatible, or operates as a peripheral master in a traditional CompactPCI® configuration
- IPMI management
- Single slot 6U footprint
- Support for Performance Technologies’ NexusWareTM Linux-based development environment
- Windows 2000/XP and VxWorks support
