9/17/2003 - Intoto Inc., a leading provider of security software to network equipment manufacturers, announced launch of iGateway SecureICP, integrated communications platform (ICP) solution for SME market using Intel® IXP4XX processors. iGateway SecureICP software platform is a fully integrated high-performance software targeted for Integrated Access Devices (IADs), IP PBXs, Voice Gateways and Media Gateways for small to medium enterprise applications.
“Intoto’s iGateway SecureICP software solution on Intel IXP4XX processors helps equipment manufacturers to rapidly build next generation integrated appliances with voice, security and data functionality” said Doug Davis, general manager, Intel Network Processor Division, “This integration of secure networking and voice DSP capability improves performance and allows maximum utilization of our silicon MIPS.”
iGateway SecureICP supports highly interoperable and standards-based stateful SIP gateway (compliant with RFC 3261) with call processing engine, SDP, RTP/RTCP and generic DS-0/Trunk interface. The offers services such as caller-ID, wake up, phone book, last number redial, outgoing call screening/dynamic service restriction, hotline- (both immediate and delayed), call waiting, call-holding and 3-way calling, among others. The software platform also includes pre-integrated ICSA-certified stateful packet inspection Firewall with network address translation (NAT) and support for over 40 application layer gateways (ALGs). It has simple, easy-to-use, web-based management and administration interface, providing the network equipment manufacturer a complete solution.
iGateway SecureICP is optimized for Intel® XScaleTM technology for high speed processing of algorithms like G.711 and G.729a/b with VAD and CNG, jitter control, multi-framing and echo cancellation. The Intel IXP4XX network processor includes a powerful DSP software library (DSR) that runs on the high speed Intel XScale core making it well suited for convergence applications. The iGateway SecureICP software leverages the hardware acceleration provided for RTP streaming, and advanced features like out of band DTMF digit transmission, dynamic switching of codec type and frames per packet, Calling Line Identification Presentation (CLIP) as FSK/DTMF.
”The flexible and extensible Intel IXP4XX network processor family with DSP software library allows us to deliver a high performance and full featured integrated communication platform to OEMs", said Sathyan Iyengar, President and CEO of Intoto Inc. "Security is a key concern for many enterprises, and Intoto's iGateway SecureICP software solution provides complete security along with convergence technologies helping OEMs quickly build fully functional ICP Appliances.”
iGateway SecureICP provides a flexible architecture for multiple applications and support for a variety of WAN and LAN technologies with optional features such as, wireless access and Virtual Private Networking (VPN). This enables the equipment manufacturers to build feature-rich products with accelerated time to market. It supports packet processing and applications needed for network access such as routing and packet forwarding. In addition, iGateway SecureICP includes features such as bridging and spanning tree, WAN protocols such as PPP & PPPoE and applications such as DHCP server, client, relay, HTTP server, SMTP client, DNS relay and Dynamic DNS.
Intoto's iGateway SecureICP software on Intel’s IXP4XX processors will be available in Q4-2003 to customers and can be purchased directly from Intoto Inc. Intoto will demonstrate a beta version of the iGateway SecureICP software at IDF. Visit Booth # 302.
