Phoenix cME FirstBIOS Starts Hitachi Laptops

9/10/2003 - Phoenix Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq: PTEC), the company driving the global core system software standard in hundreds of millions of PC systems and connected digital devices for more than two decades, announced that Hitachi, Ltd. has adopted Phoenix Core Managed Environment (cMETM) FirstBIOSTM Notebook Pro for its new notebook models. Hitachi has been implementing Phoenix cME FirstBIOS in various models, and now it adds the FLORA 270W Slim model as the first Hitachi notebook equipped with this next-generation core system software. This latest adoption strengthens the already close relationship between the two companies, as Hitachi has used Phoenix BIOS software for more than 10 years.
