Altera Schedules SOPC World 2003 Conferences Around the World

9/9/2003 - Altera Corporation (NASDAQ: ALTR) announced the schedule for its SOPC World 2003 conferences to be held in North America, Europe, Japan, and Asia. System architects, designers, and manufacturing executives are invited to attend the industry’s premier seminar series on programmable logic technology. This year, participants will learn how to successfully implement embedded processing, digital signal processing (DSP), high-speed system design, as well as how to interface and control a variety of memory standards. In addition, conference participants will get an advance look at three new product families, including Altera’s 90-nm FPGAs, coming in 2004.

Altera’s third annual SOPC World conferences will be held in 24 cities around the globe and will focus on specific applications for Altera’s newest FPGAs including the high-performance StratixTM, transceiver-based Stratix GX, and low-cost CycloneTM devices. With dramatic cost reductions, unprecedented performance, and design simplicity, FPGAs are a compelling alternative to traditional system design techniques.
