8/11/2003 - VMETRO (Houston, TX / Oslo, Norway) is proud to announce the VertEX PCI Express Analyzer, the newest member of its family of analyzers. Designed for debugging, testing and validating next-generation PCI Express platforms, the VertEX analyzer allows testing of x1, x2, x4 and x8 PCI Express links with bidirectional support.
The VMETRO VertEX PCI Express Analyzer is operated via a USB connection from a PC while running an advanced GUI on Windows 98SE, ME, 2000 or XP platforms.
The analyzer supports advanced decoding of the PCI Express protocol, thereby making the captured data easy to understand for all users.
A 2GB Trace memory is provided for capturing large amounts of information, which is essential when debugging hard-to-find errors, as well as doing post-capture statistical measurements. The VertEX also has a powerful Real-Time Statistics engine to display key PCI Express performance metrics.
Getting an overview of traffic and error situations is made easy by an automatic reporting tool that quickly summarizes large quantities of transactions in an easy to read manner.
The connection to the PCI Express interconnect is provided by using either an adapter board (for plug in devices), or a probe (for board level chip connections).
As a proven leader in the PCI bus analyzer field, VMETRO now offers solutions for next generation PCI architectures, including PCI Express, PCI-X and PCI. This provides customers with one leading source for all of their current and future PCI related debugging needs.
The VertEX products are available 4 weeks ARO.
