8/4/2003 - Micro Digital, Inc. is pleased to announce the availability of SMX® support for the Motorola M5407C3® board.
The SMX® evaluation kit for the M5407C3 board includes smx, smxNet, smx++, and smxAware. The kit operates with Metrowerks CodeWarrior®. smxAware demonstrates thread windows and other kernel-aware features of the CodeWarrior debugger. smx and smx++ demonstrate multitasking. smxNet, the TCP/IP stack, includes webserver, FTP, and Telnet demos. It allows the M5407C3 board to communicate with a PC via Ethernet.
The Motorola 5407 is the fastest of the ColdFire processors. The M5407C3 board features 32 MB of SDRAM, Ethernet controller, 2 UARTs, and a JTAG connector for CodeWarrior debugging.
A free SMX® evaluation kit may be downloaded from www.smxrtos.com/eval. It includes smx, smxNet, smx++, and smxAware. With this addition, Micro Digital now has SMX evaluation kits for all ColdFire processors in production.
Pricing and Availability
Available now. Eval kits are free to qualified evaluators. Licenses for smx start at $7000. Prices are royalty-free, have no per-seat charges, and include 6 months of support.
