8/1/2003 - SeeStorm (www.seestorm.com), technology pioneer and innovator, developer of interactive, vision and speech-enabled communication software has announced that SeeStorm product for 3D talking characters on cell phone has received Overall Best Exhibitor award at Wireless Japan 2003 show.
SeeStorm's software enables quick creation of rich-media messages with animated 3D talking heads from any 2D image, including people photos, cartoon characters, animal images. It is targeted to content providers, who receive a platform to create rich-media messages based on their content and deliver them to PC or mobile devices using standard formats and protocols.
SeeStorm presented its new generation of Avatar applications running on NTT DoCoMo i-mode 505i-series handsets. With SeeStorm's applications, visitors of Wireless Japan could make their Avatars using the cell-phone camera, and send talking Avatar message to a cell-phone or PC.
SeeStorm product is build on top of SeeStorm technologies for face recognition (3D characters could be created from the user's photos shot by the built-in phone camera), 3D face animation by voice (SeeStorm voice-to-motion engine) and voice disguising.
