Intrinsix, Mentor Goes FAST with FPGA Advantage Partner Program

8/27/2003 - Mentor Graphics Corporation announced Intrinsix Corporation, a leading independent electronic design services company, has joined its FPGA Advantage Solutions Thrust (FAST) Partner Program. The addition of Intrinsix to the FAST Partner roster provides North American customers with additional skilled field-programmable gate array (FPGA) resource options.

The FAST Partner Program provides partners such as Intrinsix with access to Mentor's FPGA Advantage® tool suite, the only completely integrated FPGA design flow with best-in-class tools in every category, including design creation, debug, simulation and synthesis. Advanced FPGA design methodologies, training and certifications are provided by Mentor Consulting, the professional services division of Mentor Graphics®.

The Mentor Graphics FPGA portfolio also includes best-in-class tools and services for co-verification, embedded software, printed circuit board (PCB) and FPGA integration, and intellectual property (IP). These solutions enable design partners to provide their customers with the most comprehensive tools and services available to help them overcome time, market and design pressures.

"Intrinsix is proud to be a member of the Mentor FAST Program. Our extensive device design and verification experience allows us to bring together the best tools, processes and experts to rapidly complete the most complex FPGA designs," said Josh Schissler, vice president of business development, Intrinsix. "Our unique combination of hardware and software skills allows our clients to take full advantage of the technical advances provided by the leading FPGA suppliers. Incorporating processor, peripherals and large gate count customer-specific logic in a wide range of applications is a fundamental part of our experience and success."

Intrinsix provides product development outsourcing to the world's leading electronic systems companies. The corporation's focus on providing electronic design services, rather than selling or licensing products, allows it to maintain the independence necessary to make the best, unbiased technical recommendations for customers, and maintain strong relationships with IP, EDA and silicon providers.

"Mentor Graphics is well-equipped to meet the growing demand for FPGA tools and services by providing customers with highly-qualified design partners using the industry's leading FPGA solutions," said Bill Martin, vice president, Mentor Consulting and Education Services, Mentor Graphics. "We are pleased to welcome Intrinsix as our newest North American FPGA partner."

Participation in the FAST Partner Program is available for a small initiation fee and subject to renewal after one year. More information on Mentor's FAST Partner Program is available at For more information on Intrinsix, visit
