7/30/2003 - Synaptics® Incorporated (NASDAQ: SYNA), a leader in human interface solutions for mobile computing and communications devices, announced it has entered into an agreement to license NXT plc’s flat panel loudspeaker technology, SurfaceSoundTM. NXT plc is a British company focusing on audio and speech technology. Under the agreement, the two companies will work together to integrate NXT’s audio technology with Synaptics’ capacitive sensing technology to develop a TouchPadTM with speaker capabilities.
